Pediatric Dentistry

Developing good dental habits and maintaining a healthy mouth starts early. The America Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends young children visit the dentist for a checkup no later than age one. They also recommend a checkup every six months. Starting early helps children get used to visiting the dentist and helps identify problems early.

Prairie Hawk Dental at the Meadows welcomes patients of all ages including pediatric patients. Even very young children can develop tooth decay and cavities. Practicing good dental habits early helps reduce the risk of developing problems later in life. Dr. Aaron Goodman and his caring staff will be happy to educate parents on ways to keep your child cavity free and prevent tooth decay.

One of our primary goals with pediatric patients is heading off potential problems before they start. For example, we offer sealants, which help protect the molars. The molars, which are the teeth in the back of the mouth, can be difficult to reach. Sealants, which involve placing a liquid on the teeth, act as a barrier between the teeth and bacteria. Sealants are a great way to prevent decay on the molars.

If you have children involved in sports, we also offer custom made mouth guards. Children of all ages who participate in any type of sport where contact is possible, such as basketball, football, baseball and soccer, should wear a mouth guard. Mouth guards protect the teeth from damage.

Maintaining good dental health is a lifelong process, which should start at an early age. At Prairie Hawk Dental, we are committed to providing exceptional dentistry for your entire family.

Dental Hygiene

One of the most important aspects of maintaining good oral health is regular dental hygiene visits. Prairie Hawk Dental at the Meadows offers exceptional dental hygiene services in a modern and comfortable environment.

Regular dental hygiene visits play an essential role in keeping your teeth and gums healthy. Although brushing is an important part of good dental health, brushing cannot remove tartar. That’s where professional dental hygiene is needed.

Although treatment may vary, a general dental hygiene visit starts with an exam, which will reveal if you have any plaque or tartar. We will also look for signs of gum disease.

We will discuss any problems areas we find and recommend the best treatment plan possible. Next we do a cleaning using special tools. This procedure is called scaling. Finally, your teeth will be polished and flossed. In addition, we also offer periodontal cleaning and treatment if needed.

At Prairie Hawk Dental at the Meadows, we also believe in the importance of patient education. We will help you develop a dental hygiene plan in order for you to have the best dental health possible.

Dental Implants

One of the best ways to replace a missing or extracted tooth is with dental implants.  This restorative solution provides patients with a sturdy, secure and natural looking prosthetic.  Since they are placed directly into the jaw, they offer the same stability that you would expect from a natural tooth.  Each implant is custom designed to meet your individual smile needs and blends in with the rest of your smile.

Many of our patients have found that dental implants restore confidence and comfort.  If you are looking for a way to replace a tooth or smile gap, visit our office to learn more about dental implants.  We are happy to provide consultations to determine if dental implants are the best restorative solution for your smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Here at Prairie Hawk Dental, cosmetic dentistry has helped many patients find confidence in the health and beauty of their smiles.  We offer a number of services that are designed to correct individual flaws or completely makeover your smile.

  • Veneers – Veneers make it possible to completely reshape and restructure the appearance and color of each tooth.  Some have called it permanent whitening as veneers are less vulnerable to staining.  You can correct chips, stains, cracks, and minor misalignment to create your idealized smile.

  • Teeth Whitening – Teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic services at our practice.  You can brighten your smile and remove stains with professional care.

  • Snap-On Smile – Snap-On Smile is an excellent choice for those looking to makeover their smile.  This light, durable resin creates a strong, but thin set of snap on teeth.  You can leave the practice with the smile you have always dreamed of.

  • Bonding – Bonding is used to correct individual tooth imperfections and protect the structure of the tooth.  This cosmetic correction leaves you with a seamless and beautiful tooth.

  • Inlays and Onlays - Inlays and onlays are sometimes referred to as partial crowns.  They let us recreate the surface of a tooth that has become damaged or severely stained.

If you are interested in restoring the beauty of your smile, contact our practice to learn more about which cosmetic dental services will be best for your smile needs.
